I wonder where you might be now as you trek across this land. Are the stars as bright in the eastern sky? Are the sunsets just as grand? Do you laugh a little more each day as you blossom with new life. Can you see the beauty in each soul? Have you ended every strife? Has your heartbeat quickened as you pen your thoughts along the way. Will you recollect these wondrous times through the words you will display. Are you certain just where you might go? Or does it really matter not? Were the nights too cold and the days too short and the weather never hot? I wonder who you may have met and if they you impressed? The young, the old, the in between, just how might they have dressed? Did you see perhaps a shooting star or snowflakes fresh at dawn? Are all these things now part of you as still you’re moving on. Will you share them when you do return, these journeys of the heart? It matters not, They’re yours alone, as you new adventures chart. | | © 2004 David Devaney |
