Upside down and inside out My life oft seems to be Pulled a thousand different ways No dreams to set me free Habits all so hard to break Too many years now gone I seek the freedom and the strength To each day carry on The night time heat now seems to soar The days are hotter still To suffer through this life alone Will break the strongest will So now I turn my heart to God My spirit and my mind Yet when there is sweet normalcy To him I seem most blind Worn and frail no energy I need a better way To touch upon the morning sun And brighten up my day So now as midnight turns to one I pen this fateful tome With hopes that God will hear my plea And find my heart a home
